I'm just so tired. I'm already so busy tomorrow, and I just received a call from Ms Hawa saying that Ms Helena wanted to have two hours of piano lessons with me. I know that her schedule is very tight too, but I've already have my whole schedule for tomorrow planned, and she informed me the lesson so last min. She seemed quite persistent, and insisted that things would be much easier for her if I have lesson tomorrow. I understand her situation, and very much want to help her as well. But I already have violin lesson, the need to pack my luggage for wed's flight, travel to Mt Faber to teach my students for two hours, go to the esplanade to borrow and return the scores for dipABRSM repertoire and still need to practise the violin! If I were to make it for another two hours of piano, I would really fall sick and die of tiredness. I'm already having a bad continuous gastric pain these few days. PLS! I'M HUMAN TOO! I need to rest too! Can I just have at least a second of peace and rest before my flight?! I'M NOT AN ALIEN OR A ROBOT!

Had a great day with my frens today. We watched the movie Twilight. Wow it is indeed a marvelous movie, totally caught my 100% attention during the show. Edward is totally cool, especially when he was playing on the grand piano. Alright, I seem to always rate guys who could play piano well higher. Hahs. Anyway, Bella is gorgeous too. It was interesting to watch the part when they were under the microscope viewing the four phases of mitosis - prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase-, so much biology! Lol.

Frank treated us at pizza hut today. Cost him eighty eight dollars! Wow! Well, this seemed like the first time you were behaving like a gentleman, Frank! Alright, except for the messing up my hair part. Hey sir, would you only be satisfied after you've messed up hair, and said at least once that I'm either so gong or blur whenever you see me?... LOL

ML had to leave early, as her bf came to wait for her below the cinema. DAMN. Juz what's the matter with that guy? Must that guy follows her to whenever she goes?! In fact, he insisted on following us out initially, when he's NOT welcomed at all. Im pissed, absolutely! He doesn't know how many of ML's frens he had already offended. I just can't bear to see my fren being fully controlled by someone else when she is someone who likes freedom. But anyway, it's still her decision. If she feels happy like this, it's up to her. It wouldn't be nice of me to care for so much anyway.

My very first day of work as a piano teacher has began today. I had two students today, who are siblings. The challenge lied not very much in providing the answers or musical knowledge to my students' questions, but in finding my students' house. Does that imply anything? Well, not so on someone who's alert and know the way. However, that is the BIGGEST CHALLENGE to a complete blur queen whose sense of direction is negative infinity, someone.......... like me.

Indeed I was so right. I got lost. My students' house was at Mount Faber. Before the day, my parents did tell me the way on how to get there, thoroughly. Yet fate always does play a cruel joke (well, there is this saying, though I personally feel that fate lies in our own hands, it is just decided by how we handle it. But since I STILL GOT LOST anyway, well, so whatever). When I got out of the MRT station, things turned a hundred and eighty degrees from the way I'd thought. I totally had no basic idea of finding the way. I consulted a few residents there on the way, whom all said Mount Faber Lodge was right up the mountain in Harbour Front. On a mountain? Well, since all of them said so, thus perhaps it was indeed right. I climbed all the way up the very steep hill, almost getting an asthma attack.

Then I got enough...

I approached someone else and asked the was once again. They told me Mount Faber Lode as not on the mountain, and showed it to me on the map which I was holding! Great. This is just so great. I ran all the way downhill (perhaps rolled down). To my great frustration, I took a cab there. Indeed, it was NOT on the mountain!

My students are two adorable kids, who are not Singaporeans. Judging from their look and English accent, I guess they were from either Australia or England. For the five years old girl, she enjoyed telling me stories throughout the lesson, which I had to then drag her back to the music world. The boy, who was eight years old, was more obedient. He was very fascinated with the diploma music score I showed him. I've heard from their mum that besides piano lesson, the girl even has ballet lessons! Wow such a busy child. This brings me back to my own childhood memories, when I used to take drawing lessons, dance lessons and some sort of ballet and calligraphy lessons. Alright, perhaps she isn't the only busy child. (=

Well, since so many people around me are from England, including my bible teacher, I guess perhaps I should pick up some Engligh accent too! LOL

Three of our quartet members, with Ms Hawa, on Victoria Concert Hall stage, right after the concert! (=

I wonder where was I looking at?

My solo, by the river bay (=

Before the concert, with Ang Sian, Leng Lee, Kai & Jas. Huiqi, WHO WORE SKIRT, refused to get into the photo. Hahs.

Edvox's Talento VI Concert has finally come to an end. The two hours of performance on stage is worthy of a year's effort put into the rehearsals, especially at Whampoa. The concert was superb, as the experience gained was truely enjoyable, though there were a few mistakes made, especially in the orchestra. I'm really starting to miss all the rehearsals and the time spent with the teachers and frens in Edvox. Why must the beautiful moments pass so quickly?
I played in the strings quartet and orchestra this year. I had a positive experience working with our quartet members, namely Wee Siang in first violin, Bryan in viola and Wei Xian in cello. Without them, there wouldn't be so much fun and laughter during the quartet rehearsals. (= Wee Siang is a friend I've known for a couple of years. We used to be in the same theory class from Grade 5 to Grade 8. Though he is already a secondary school physics teacher, he looks very young - like he's only seventeen years old!- Bryan is someone whom I have played together in the orchestra with for three years, though I only get to know more about him recently. His character is very much like my cousin, humorous, skillful and smart. I heard he had only played the viola for two weeks, and he was able to play Eine Kleine well! Impressive indeed. He had always enliven the atmosphere during the rehearsals, though now he jokingly calls me a "music freak-weird-extraordinary girl". Hahs. As for Wei Xian, she's quiet by nature, but I can sense that she is a pleasant girl too!
During the finally rehearsal on the concert day, finally had I got to see my current desk partner -Rachael. She's a pleasant gal, who's friendly, matured and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed playing together with her. Sadly, I only get to play with her for once, and she has to fly back to Australia to continue her studies after the holidays.
Though I did not really get to see the concert as I was at backstage, I heard that the piano solos were very good this time. Hahs I feel so happy for the piano soloists. (= However, while we were playing the Halo Theme in the orchestra, the lights went off to show the audience the actual video of the game itself. It was so dark that I couldn't even see a single note. Neither could I see the score clearly while playing for the other few orchestra songs, as I did not wear my contact lenses ( Argh serve me right...). So, I had to play all the songs, namely Fantasia 2000, Halo Theme, Schindler's List and Grease, based on my memory. With that, I made a few mistakes of course. Next, after a whole day of running about in my high heel shoes, my legs almost broke. The pain was so unendurable that I had to drag my feet along walking onstage to take my High Scorer Award for piano and violin (during the rehearsal of course).
However, those insignificant obstacles were just nothing as compared to the truly enjoyable experience gained at the concert! I'm looking forward to the concert for next year, and at the same time, I would devote myself to practising the piano and violin more frequently now.
